In Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, the incidence rate is stabilizing, as is the positivity rate, against a backdrop of low testing rates. The incidence rate is estimated at 28 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, lower than the national rate of 36 per 100,000 inhabitants.
Incidence rates range from 21 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in Haute-Saône to 34 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in the Jura, and positivity rates range from 9% in the Territoire-de-Belfort to 17.5% in the Jura. The Jura has a positivity rate higher than the national average.
In Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, the XBB.1.5 variant remains the most prevalent (45% of sequences in S18 vs. 38% in S17). Other Omicron sublineages, such as BA.2 and BA.5, are circulating in the region at low levels in S18 (latest consolidated data). These trends are also observed at the national level.
