COVID-19

  • Viral circulation is declining in all departments and across all age groups.

  • Incidence rates range from 4 cases per 100,000 residents in Doubs to 11 cases per 100,000 residents in Jura, and positivity rates range from 3.6% in Doubs to 9.5% in Jura.

  • Healthcare utilization indicators remain stable and low.

  • In Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, the XBB.1.5* variant remains predominant at a stable level (around 50% of sequences interpretable in S21 and S22).

Extreme heat, heat wave

  • No unusual increase in activity at emergency departments or SOS Médecins associations in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté.

  • Indicators of heat-related illnesses remain at low levels.

Mental health

  • In Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, indicators at the end of 2022 remain at a high level, particularly in the survey conducted in September 2022 (Wave 35). Upward trends were observed for nearly all mental health indicators, though these were not statistically significant. The prevalence of anxiety disorders (25.9% in V35–V36 versus 22.9% in V33–V34), sleep problems (63.4% versus 60.2% in V33–V34), depressive disorders (17.3% versus 15.4% in V33 – V34), and suicidal thoughts (13.2% versus 9.7% in V33–V34) showed an upward trend. A downward trend in the prevalence of life satisfaction (74.5% versus 81.0% in V33–V34) was observed.
