Key Points

COVID-19

  • In Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, SARS-CoV-2 epidemic activity in week 08 is at a low level, with an incidence rate based on SIDEP data (TAG+PCR) estimated at 27 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and a positivity rate estimated at 4.6%.

  • At the subregional level, departmental incidence rates range from 23 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in the Jura to 31 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in the Nièvre, and positivity rates range from 3.9% in the Jura to 6.2% in the Nièvre. The testing rate is increasing in all departments, with the exception of Doubs, where it is decreasing.

Bronchiolitis

  • End of the epidemic.

  • Activity related to the bronchiolitis epidemic among children under 2 years of age is decreasing both at SOS Médecins clinics and in emergency departments, reaching levels comparable to previous seasons.

Influenza

  • Epidemic phase.

  • Flu-related activity (all ages) is decreasing but remains at a high level at SOS Médecins clinics and in emergency departments.

  • 28 severe cases of influenza admitted to intensive care reported by the intensive care sentinel network.

  • 45 reports of clusters of acute respiratory infections in long-term care facilities since early October 2022.

Acute gastroenteritis

  • Activity (all ages) at SOS Médecins clinics is increasing this week but remains below levels from the same period last season.

  • Activity in emergency departments remains at high levels but is lower than last season’s levels.
