Health Monitoring in the Bourgogne and Franche-Comté Regions. Update as of November 24, 2022.
Key Points
COVID-19
Based on all available indicators, the epidemic trend in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté appears to be rising slightly this week. The trend in indicators derived solely from rapid antigen tests (TAG) follows this same pattern (though it is likely overestimated due to the shift from RT-PCR testing to TAG testing). Data from hospital surveillance appear to support this trend: the number of new hospitalizations is rising slightly, and the number of new admissions to intensive care is increasing more sharply, following three consecutive weeks of decline. COVID-19-related activity reported via the SurSaUD® system remains stable.
Bronchiolitis
The region has been in an epidemic phase for 6 weeks
A new increase in SOS Médecins activity and emergency room visits for bronchiolitis in children under 2 years of age, at very high levels.
Flu
No increase in influenza-related activity in emergency departments or among SOS Médecins associations in our region in S46 (Figures 1 and 2)
3 reports of clusters of acute respiratory infections in long-term care facilities
One severe case of influenza admitted to the ICU was reported by the ICU sentinel network
