Among the 214 episodes of acute respiratory infections (ARI) occurring in long-term care facilities (LTCFs) between weeks 20 and 48, none were attributed exclusively to influenza (vs. 13 in France).
Acute gastroenteritis
Activity (all ages) at SOS Médecins clinics has been declining for 4 weeks and remains low, close to that of the previous season.
Activity (all ages) in emergency departments is relatively low and is within the range observed during the previous season.
COVID-19
The rate of confirmed cases in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté is increasing: it rose from 39.4 in Week 47 to 49.1 per 100,000 inhabitants in Week 48. The percentage of activity for suspected COVID-19 cases at SOS Médecins associations continues to rise and is close to 6%. The rate of emergency department visits continues to rise (2.0% vs. 1.7% in Week 1). The proportion of hospitalizations following an emergency department visit is increasing (41.9% vs. 40.4% in Week 1) and primarily involves those aged 65 and older (90.0%).
