Key points

Bronchiolitis

  • Epidemic phase, on the decline

  • Bronchiolitis-related activity continues to decline in S02 (11% vs. 16% in S01) in emergency departments, approaching the post-epidemic phase

  • SOS Médecins activity has decreased to 4% among SOS Médecins associations (vs. 8% in S01)

Flu

  • Epidemic phase, on the rise.

  • Flu-related activity is decreasing in emergency departments in S02 with 187 flu cases (1.2% of visits in S02 vs. 1.4% in S01), but is increasing for SOS Médecins with 325 cases out of 3,600 procedures (9% in S02 vs. 8% in S01)

  • In the region’s medical-social facilities, 6 clusters of influenza cases have been reported since Week 51

  • Since November 2023, 11 severe cases of influenza admitted to intensive care (7 influenza A, 1 influenza B, and 3 unspecified) have been reported

Acute gastroenteritis

  • Increase over the past 3 weeks

  • Activity at SOS Médecins clinics for acute gastroenteritis is high, accounting for 8.9% of visits (vs. 7.5% in Week 01)

  • Emergency department activity for acute gastroenteritis has been moderate over the past 3 weeks, with a visit rate of 1.5% in Week 02 (vs. 1.7% in Week 01)

COVID-19

  • The spread of SARS-CoV-2 is slowing in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté.

  • The rate of confirmed cases dropped from 20.3 per 100,000 inhabitants in Week 1 to 13.1 in Week 2. The percentage of cases involving suspected COVID-19 among SOS Médecins associations continues to decline (1.1% vs. 1.9% in S-1), as does the rate of emergency department visits (0.6% vs. 1.1% in S-1).
