COVID-19
Another sharp increase in the Covid-19 incidence rate (IR) calculated based on PCR and antigen tests. The regional IR rose from 213.8 per 100,000 inhabitants in Week 47 to 296.1 per 100,000 inhabitants in Week 48. The IRs are above 300 per 100,000 inhabitants in Morbihan and Ille-et-Vilaine and above 200 per 100,000 inhabitants in Finistère and Côtes d’Armor: +37 points in the Côtes d’Armor, +76 points in Finistère, +83 points in Ille-et-Vilaine, and +124 points in Morbihan. This week, 56 EPCIs have an IT exceeding 100 per 100,000 inhabitants, 21 of which have an IT exceeding 300 per 100,000 inhabitants. Key areas of concern include the 7 EPCIs with an incidence rate exceeding 400 per 100,000 inhabitants, people under 50 across the entire region, and large cities or EPCIs (Redon, Lorient, Quimperlé, Dinan, Loudéac, etc.). Estimated vaccination coverage by place of residence reaches 82.0% for a single dose and 81.0% for a full course.
Bronchiolitis
Epidemic activity is stable, but an increase is expected.
Influenza
Indicators remain at very low levels in Brittany. Sporadic detection by the Virology Laboratory at Rennes University Hospital.
Gastroenteritis
High activity. Increase among children under 5; stable for other age groups.
