Key Points

COVID-19

  • In Week 06, the incidence rate (IR), the testing rate (TR), and the positivity rate (PR) are all declining.

  • Oscour®: Stable number of emergency department visits in Week 06 (26 vs. 28 in Week 05); 62% of visits resulted in hospitalization in Week 06 (vs. 64% in Week 05). Suspected COVID-19 cases accounted for 0.2% of emergency department activity across all age groups (compared to 0.2% in Week 5).

  • SOS Médecins: Low number of SOS Médecins consultations (22 consultations in S06 compared to 30 in S05). Suspected COVID-19 cases accounted for 0.5% of SOS Médecins activity in S06 (compared to 0.7% in S05). The number of consultations is low across all age groups.

Influenza and influenza-like illnesses

  • Epidemic activity.

  • Increase in SOS Médecins consultations and emergency room visits.

  • Increase in the detection of influenza B virus according to the Brest Virology Laboratory.

Acute gastroenteritis

  • High activity.

  • Stabilization of SOS Médecins consultations for gastroenteritis across all age groups. Increase in emergency room visits among children under 15.
