COVID-19
Another increase in the incidence rate (IR), testing rate (TR), and positivity rate (PR). The regional (raw) IR rose from 1,237.3 per 100,000 inhabitants in Week 26 to 1,496.1 per 100,000 inhabitants in Week 27. IRs are rising in all 4 departments. Increase in emergency room visits, calls to SOS Médecins, general care hospitalizations, and critical care hospitalizations. Estimated vaccination coverage by place of residence stands at 83.0% for one dose and 82.2% for a full course.
Extreme heat, heat wave
In week 27, Brittany remained under a green heat wave alert. There was a slight increase in healthcare utilization for heat-related conditions this week, but activity levels remained within the ranges typically observed outside of heat wave periods.
As a heat wave settled over France in week 28, Ille-et-Vilaine and Morbihan were placed by Météo-France under a yellow heat wave alert starting July 10 and 11, 2022, respectively.
Acute Gastroenteritis
Low activity. Decline in indicators across all age groups for SOS Médecin. Number of emergency room visits stable, with a decrease in activity among children under 5.
