Key Points

COVID-19

Increase in the incidence rate (IR), testing rate (TR), and stabilization of the positivity rate (PR). The regional (gross) IR rose from 210.4 per 100,000 inhabitants in Week 21 to 260.5 per 100,000 inhabitants in Week 22. IRs are rising in all four departments. Decrease in hospitalizations in general and critical care, stabilization of emergency room visits, and a slight increase in calls to SOS Médecins. Estimated vaccination coverage by place of residence reaches 84.5% for one dose and 83.7% for a full course.

Extreme heat, heat wave

  • Brittany has remained under a green heat wave alert since the start of the seasonal monitoring period.

  • SOS Médecins: The number of SOS Médecins consultations has been low over the past two weeks.

  • Oscour®: The number of emergency room visits has remained stable over the past two weeks among those aged 75 and older and among those aged 15 to 74. Those aged 75 and older accounted for 40% of visits for this diagnosis in week 22. The indicators are close to the values from previous years for this period, excluding heat waves.

Acute gastroenteritis

  • Moderate activity. Decline in indicators among children.
