COVID-19

Increase in the incidence rate and stability in the positivity rate calculated from PCR and antigen tests. The incidence rate rose from 164.7 per 100,000 inhabitants in Week 11 to 190.8 per 100,000 in Week 12. The positivity rate remained unchanged from Week 11 at 5.6%. The proportion of suspected cases of the so-called British variant is 84.4% in Brittany, and that of the Brazilian or South African variants is 3.0%. Vaccination coverage stands at 13.3% for a single dose. As of March 31, there were 12 confirmed cases in Brittany of the 20-C variant, initially identified at Lannion Hospital. The situation is concerning, with a combination of rising incidence and significant strain on hospitals.
