Key Points

COVID-19

  • Stabilization of the incidence rate (IR), decrease in the testing rate (TR) and the positivity rate (PR). The regional (unadjusted) IR fell from 231 per 100,000 inhabitants in Week 44 to 230 per 100,000 inhabitants in Week 45. The IR is down in 3 departments; it is up in Ille-et-Vilaine. Decrease in calls to SOS Médecins, in visits to hospital emergency rooms, decrease in the prevalence of general care hospitalizations, and stabilization of the prevalence of critical care hospitalizations and visits.

Bronchiolitis

  • Epidemic activity.

  • Early signs of a decline in the number of emergency room visits and SOS Médecins consultations: awaiting Week 46 indicators to confirm whether the epidemic peak has been passed.

  • Slight decrease in RSV circulation according to the Virology Laboratory at Brest University Hospital.

Influenza

  • Pre-epidemic activity.

  • Stable number of emergency room visits and an increase in SOS Médecins consultations.

  • Increase in the detection of influenza A viruses by the Virology Laboratory at the Brest University Hospital.

Acute gastroenteritis

  • Low activity.

  • Increase in monitored SOS Médecins indicators. Stabilization in the number of emergency room visits compared to the previous week.
