Key Points
COVID-19
Decrease in the incidence rate (IR), testing rate (TR), and positivity rate (PR). The regional (unadjusted) IR fell from 467 per 100,000 inhabitants in Week 42 to 286 per 100,000 inhabitants in Week 43. The IR is declining in all four departments. Stabilization of the prevalence of hospitalizations in general and critical care, decrease in the use of hospital emergency rooms and SOS Médecins.
Bronchiolitis
Epidemic activity, rising phase.
Epidemic established throughout the country. The current epidemic is comparable in scale to those observed prior to COVID-19 and is also characterized by its early onset.
Flu
Non-epidemic activity.
Slight increase in emergency room visits and stabilization of SOS Médecins consultations. Detection of influenza A viruses by the virology laboratories at the Rennes (stable) and Brest (increasing) university hospitals.
Acute gastroenteritis
Low activity.
Indicators being monitored remain stable.
