Bronchiolitis (under 1 year of age)

  • Epidemic activity.

  • Other viruses capable of causing bronchiolitis are circulating, notably rhinoviruses.

COVID-19

  • Low activity.

Influenza and influenza-like illness

  • Epidemic activity.

  • Significant increase in the number of SOS Médecins consultations and emergency room visits for influenza and flu-like illness.

  • Increase in the detection of influenza A virus according to data from the Virology Laboratory at Rennes University Hospital.

Gastroenteritis

  • Moderate activity. Decrease in emergency room visits and SOS Médecins consultations across all age groups.

ENT conditions

  • High activity related to ENT conditions. In Week 52, among children under 5, ENT conditions accounted for 14% of emergency room visits and 51.3% of SOS Médecins consultations. Increase in the detection rate of rhinoviruses/enteroviruses by the Virology Laboratory at Rennes University Hospital (positivity rate of 24.2% in Week 52 compared to 11.9% in Week 51).

Pneumonias

  • Significant increase in emergency room visits and SOS Médecins consultations for pneumonia, affecting adults.

Asthma

  • High activity. Increase in SOS Médecins consultations and decrease in emergency room visits across all age groups.

Gastroenteritis

  • Moderate activity.
