In Week 49, the spread of SARS-CoV-2 appears to be slowing in the Centre-Val de Loire region. Virological indicators (calculated based on antigen tests alone) were stable, while hospitalizations continued to rise. However, new admissions to intensive care were declining.
Positivity rate (PR) and incidence rate (IR) from antigen tests remained stable.
The BA.5 sublineage has been stable and predominant since Week 24; the proportion of the new BQ1.1 sublineage among sequenced tests has increased.
