In Week 50, the spread of SARS-CoV-2 appears to be slowing in the Centre-Val de Loire region. Virological indicators, emergency room visits, and SOS Médecins consultations were down, although indicators of severity (hospitalizations, deaths) continued to rise.
Positivity rate (PR) and incidence rate (IR) are declining. Hospital admissions and deaths are rising.
The BA.5 sublineage has been stable and predominant since week S24; among sequenced tests, the proportion of the BQ1.1 sublineage has been predominant since week 44 (69% in S49).
