Key Points

COVID-19

  • The incidence rate continues to rise, although the rate of increase has slowed. This trend is primarily observed among those aged 0–15 and in nearly all departments in the region

  • Testing rates are slightly down and positivity rates are up at the regional level compared to the previous week

  • Increase in the proportion of screened tests with a profile consistent with the Omicron variant (95.1% in S02 vs. 90.9% in S01)

  • Increase in SOS Médecins calls for suspected COVID-19, stabilization of emergency room visits for suspected COVID-19

  • Slight decrease in critical care admissions and increase in new hospitalizations

  • Significant decrease in the number of COVID-19 cases in ESMS

In week 02, indicators of the bronchiolitis epidemic are generally declining.

Flu

In week 02, activity related to flu-like syndromes was down in hospital emergency departments and stable at SOS Médecins.

Acute gastroenteritis
