Key Points

COVID-19

  • In Week 42, following six weeks of rising SARS-CoV-2 transmission in the region, a slowdown was observed across the entire territory, accompanied by a decline in new hospitalizations and new ICU admissions.

  • Incidence rates (IR) were declining in all age groups except among those aged 65–74, where they remained stable. The IR was decreasing or stable across all departments.

  • The BA.5 sublineage has been stable and predominant since week S24, but the new BQ1.1 sublineage continues to rise.

  • CoviPrev (Wave 35, Sept. 12–19, 2022): continued decline in the adoption of protective measures and stabilization of anxiety and depressive disorders.

  • Activity down at SOS Médecins and stable in hospital emergency departments

Monkeypox

  • 42 cases of Monkeypox had been identified in the Centre-Val de Loire region as of October 25, 2022.

Bronchiolitis

  • Second week of the outbreak: activity remains stable at SOS Médecins and is on the rise in hospital emergency departments among children under 2 years of age.

Flu

  • Activity is decreasing at SOS Médecins and stable in hospital emergency departments
