• The average number of visits for mental health issues among children in 2021 was higher than in the previous three years (+50%), primarily among children aged 0–10 (respectively: +36%, +67%, and +88% compared to 2020, 2019, and 2018).

• Across all age groups, the average number of visits for suicidal acts was higher than in the previous three years (respectively: +10%, +6%, and +26% compared to 2020, 2019, and 2018).

Medical procedure data from SOS Médecins

• Increase in procedures for anxiety in 2021 compared to the previous three years (respectively, +15%, +37%, and +39% compared to 2020, 2019, and 2018).

Analysis of the last two months (October–November)

• The monthly number of visits for mental health issues in children in October–November 2021 was higher than in the previous two months (+20% compared to August–September 2021).

• The monthly number of visits for suicidal acts across all age groups in October–November 2021 was higher than in the previous two months (+17% compared to August–September 2021).

• Decrease in the monthly number of cases involving anxiety (-48%) and depressive states (-54%) in October–November 2021 compared to August–September 2021 (to be interpreted with caution due to low sample sizes).

• An increase in the current life satisfaction score in Wave 30 (November 30 to December 7) compared to the previous wave (October 28 to November 5).
