Key points

Bronchiolitis

  • OSCOUR®: In week 51 of 2023, the proportion of emergency department visits related to bronchiolitis among children under 2 years of age continued to decline. It stands at 19%, representing 379 visits. The proportion of hospitalizations for bronchiolitis among all hospitalizations following an emergency department visit for children under 2 years of age is 35.6%.

  • SOS Médecins: In week 51 of 2023, the proportion of cases related to bronchiolitis handled by SOS Médecins continued to decline. It stands at 6.7%, or 42 consultations.

Influenza

  • The region entered the epidemic phase for influenza in week 50-2023.

  • OSCOUR®: The number of emergency department visits for flu-like illness, all ages, continued to rise in week 51-2023 compared to the previous week (359 visits versus 215 in week 50-2023), representing 1.4% of total activity.

  • SOS Médecins: The number of consultations for flu-like symptoms, all ages, remained stable in week 51-2023 (870 consultations compared to 891 in week 50-2023); the flu activity rate is 10.7%.

COVID-19

  • OSCOUR®: In week 51-2023, the number of emergency department visits for COVID-19 decreased compared to previous weeks (431 visits compared to 579 in week 50-2023), representing 1.7% of total activity.

  • SOS Médecins: In week 51-2023, the number of SOS Médecins consultations for COVID-19 decreased compared to the previous week (205 consultations versus 299 in week 50-2023), representing 2.5% of the activity of SOS Médecins associations in the region.

Acute Gastroenteritis

  • OSCOUR®: The number of emergency department visits for gastroenteritis, across all age groups, increased in week 51-2023 compared to previous weeks. The share of activity is 1.3% and is higher than that observed during the same period last year.

  • SOS Médecins: The number of consultations for gastroenteritis across all age groups continues to rise in week 51 of 2023. The share of activity for these conditions is 6.8% and is higher than that observed during the same period last year.
