COVID-19

• The incidence rate continues to decline in week 03-2023, falling below 50 cases per 100,000 inhabitants for the first time (46 cases per 100,000 inhabitants compared to 63 in week 02-2023);

• The incidence rate is declining across all age groups, except among those aged 0–19, where it has stabilized since week S02-2023. The most significant decrease is observed among those aged 70–79 and 80 and older (-46% for both age groups);

• The positivity rate (5.9%) continues to decline compared to the previous week;

• The testing rate is 775 tests per 100,000 inhabitants in week 03-2023. It is decreasing across all age groups, except among children under 10 years of age, where it is increasing (+11%).

Bronchiolitis

• OSCOUR®: In week 03-2023, the proportion of emergency department visits related to bronchiolitis among children under 2 years of age fluctuated following a sharp decline.

• SOS Médecins: In week 03-2023, the proportion of SOS Médecins cases related to bronchiolitis among children under 2 years of age was 4.9%, down from week 02-2023.

• Virology data: According to results from the virology laboratories at the University Hospitals of Nancy and Strasbourg, in week 03-2023, the circulation of RSV (respiratory syncytial virus) remains moderate and is decreasing.

Influenza and influenza-like illnesses

• OSCOUR®: In week 03-2023, the number of emergency department visits for influenza-like illness, across all ages, continued to decline compared to the previous week (191 versus 251 in week 02-2023). The proportion of influenza-related cases is also decreasing, with 0.9% of emergency department visits linked to influenza.

• SOS Médecins: The number of consultations for flu-like illness, across all age groups, continues to decline compared to the previous week (526 consultations versus 611 in Week 02-2023), representing nearly 8.2% of total activity.
