COVID-19
COVID-19: After four consecutive weeks of decline, the incidence rate stopped falling in week 09 and has plateaued at around 761 cases per 100,000 people. (760.8 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in Week 09-22 vs. 772.2 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in Week 08-22) at a very high level.
Bronchiolitis
SOS Médecins: Due to a data transmission issue, SOS Médecins consultation data has not been available since week S07-22.
OSCOUR®: In week 09-2022, the proportion of emergency department visits related to bronchiolitis among children under 2 years of age was 3.5%, a slight increase compared to the previous week (2%) (Figure 4). There were 55 emergency department visits for bronchiolitis in week 09-2022, compared to 34 in week 08-2022. The proportion of hospitalizations for bronchiolitis among all hospitalizations following an emergency department visit was 7% in week 09-2022
Influenza
SOS Médecins: Due to a data transmission issue, SOS Médecins consultations have not been available since week 07.
Oscour®: The number of emergency department visits for influenza-like illness, all ages (Figure 6), increased significantly in week 09-2022 compared to the previous week (143 versus 61 in week 08-2022), representing 0.6% of total activity.
Gastroenteritis
SOS Médecins: Due to a data transmission issue, SOS Médecins consultations have not been available since week 07-22.
Oscour®: The number of emergency department visits for acute gastroenteritis (AG), all ages (Figure 8), increased in week 09-2022 compared to week 08-2022 (728 visits versus 634 in week 08-2022), with a slight increase in the share of activity (3% in week 09-2022). Children under 5 years of age still account for the majority of this activity, with 532 visits for GEA (16% of the activity share for this age group). The proportion of hospitalizations for GEA across all ages among all hospitalizations following an emergency department visit remains stable at 3%, and stable among children under 5 years of age (23%).
