In week 48, the number of emergency department visits by children under 2 years of age for bronchiolitis remains high, as does overall activity (emergency department visits and hospitalizations, calls to SOS Médecins) for this same age group. There is also a continued increase in emergency department visits for respiratory infections among children under 15 years of age, with a more pronounced increase among children under 2 years of age.
