Surveillance of Occupational Diseases in the Alsace Region: Results of the 2015 and 2016 Fortnightly Reports

The objectives of the occupational disease surveillance program (MCP) are to estimate the prevalence rates of occupational diseases, describe the occupational exposure agents associated with these conditions, and contribute to the assessment of underreporting of occupational diseases. Of the 254 physicians practicing in Alsace in 2015 and 2016, 18 participated with their teams in the first wave and 11 in the second. Combining the two survey waves, 24 physicians participated in at least one wave, representing 9% of the region’s occupational physicians. A total of 2,071 employees were seen during this period.
