Summary
Over the past two weeks, the virus has continued to circulate intensely in the Western Coastal region. A slowdown has been observed in the Savanes region and on the island of Cayenne: this trend is likely temporary and due to this year’s particularly intense dry season; vigilance remains essential as the rainy season approaches.
A total of 1,599 confirmed cases of dengue have been recorded since the beginning of the year. The DEN-3 serotype predominates.
As a reminder, to best assess the epidemiological situation, it is important to order a laboratory test for dengue for any clinically suggestive case of dengue, preferably using RT-PCR.
