Analysis of the Epidemiological Situation

Dengue activity has remained very low throughout French Guiana since the beginning of 2015 (S2015-02). During this period, the number of clinically suggestive cases and probable and confirmed cases of dengue has remained at stable and low levels, typically observed during the inter-epidemic period.An outbreak was identified in Macouria early this year in the "Savane Bordelaise" neighborhood: this involved two confirmed cases of dengue, and the outbreak has since subsided. Currently, no outbreaks have been identified. The epidemiological situation for dengue corresponds to Phase 1 of Psage: "sporadic cases."
