Epidemiological Situation of Malaria in French Guiana. Update as of February 7, 2018.

Analysis of the Epidemiological Situation

Between early November 2017 and late January 2018, malaria activity was high to moderate across the territory. This level of activity is primarily linked to the transmission cluster identified in Trois–Palétuviers and the seasonal resurgence observed in St Georges between late September and late November. The suspected sites of infection identified during this period were located in the municipalities of St. Georges, Régina, Saül, Maripa-Soula, Camopi, St. Elie, Matoury, and Macouria. The malaria risk map is currently being validated.
