Epidemiological Situation of Malaria in French Guiana. Update as of November 10, 2017.

Analysis of the Epidemiological Situation

Between late September and early November, malaria activity was high in the region compared to previous months. This increase is primarily linked to the outbreak in Trois Palétuviers (St. Georges commune) and the seasonal resurgence typically observed during this period in St. Georges. An increase in the number of reported malaria cases in Régina was also observed. The malaria risk map is currently being validated.
