Analysis of the Epidemiological Situation

The flu epidemic appears to be winding down in the region. A decline in flu activity has continued to be observed over the past two weeks, but due to summer vacations, data has not been consolidated across all sectors. This trend therefore remains to be confirmed in the coming weeks.Flu-related emergency room activity is low at the Kourou Medical-Surgical Center and the André Rosemon Hospital, and moderate at the Cayenne Medical Clinic. The A/H3N2 and B viruses are co-circulating.
