Analysis of the Epidemiological Situation

The number of visits for flu-like symptoms remained high throughout January, although a slight decrease was observed during the last week of the month: the epidemic continues across the entire country.The impact of the epidemic on the hospital sector was low to moderate throughout January. In total, since the start of the epidemic, 3 severe cases—including 1 linked to Influenza A (lineage unspecified) and 2 linked to A/H3N2—have been recorded, and no flu-related deaths have been reported to date.Finally, virological data show that the Influenza A/H3N2 virus is predominant and is co-circulating with RSV.
