Analysis of the Epidemiological Situation
The flu epidemic continues, although the number of visits for flu-like symptoms in private practice and at community health centers decreased during the first two weeks of March.
During this same period, activity related to visits for flu-like symptoms was low to moderate in the emergency departments of the CHAR, the CHK, and the GMC.
Since the start of the outbreak, influenza A and B viruses, as well as RSV A and RSV B, have been identified.
Three severe cases of influenza have been admitted to the CHAR intensive care unit since the start of the epidemic, one of whom has died.
