Analysis of the Epidemiological Situation
The flu epidemic continues, and the number of visits for flu-like symptoms in private practice and at primary care clinics has remained high and stable during the last two weeks of February.
During this same period, activity related to consultations for flu-like symptoms was high at the GMC and moderate in the emergency departments of the CHK and the CHAR.
Since the start of the outbreak, influenza A and B viruses, as well as RSV A and RSV B, have been identified.
Three severe cases of influenza have been admitted to the intensive care unit at the CHAR since the start of the epidemic, one of whom has died.
