Health Monitoring in the Hauts-de-France Region. Update as of December 7, 2023.

Key points

Bronchiolitis

  • Epidemic phase for the 5th consecutive week.

  • Bronchiolitis activity is stabilizing in the region’s emergency departments and decreasing at SOS Médecins.

  • The positivity rate for RSV testing remains stable compared to the previous week in the laboratories of the Lille and Amiens university hospitals.

Influenza

  • Non-epidemic situation; activity is stable and still at a low level in emergency departments but increasing in the community (SOS Médecins and Réseau Sentinelles).

  • Low circulation of influenza viruses in the region.

COVID-19

  • Increased activity for consultations regarding suspected COVID-19 at SOS Médecins.

  • Increase in the number of emergency room visits for COVID-19, but the proportion of activity remains low and stable.

  • SARS-CoV-2 circulation was on the rise in Hauts-de-France compared to the previous week.

Acute gastroenteritis

  • Moderate activity level and stable trend in surveillance indicators.

In this context, and with family gatherings during the holiday season approaching, it is essential that at-risk individuals protect themselves by getting vaccinated against seasonal flu and COVID-19, and that everyone continues to follow preventive measures.
