COVID-19
In Week 42, COVID-19 transmission is increasing rapidly across the region, particularly in the Oise and Nord departments, along a border area adjacent to Belgium, where the resurgence of the epidemic is severe.
A steady and significant increase in regional virological indicators (incidence and positivity rates) among those aged 65 and older.
A slight increase in the number of patients seeking care for suspected COVID-19 in primary care (SOS Médecins, Réseau Sentinelles) and in the region’s emergency departments;
Stability in new hospitalizations and admissions to critical care units.
As of October 26, 2021, regional vaccination coverage for the first dose (75.4%) and full vaccination (73.7%) is increasing slightly. Currently, fewer than one in five (18%) people over the age of 65 have received their booster shot.

Epidemic phase for the second consecutive week in the region, with stable activity at a moderate level in primary care (SOS Médecins) and in emergency departments during week 42.
Flu and flu-like illnesses
Low demand for medical care.
Gastroenteritis
Activity is on the rise in emergency departments and moderately on the rise in primary care (SOS Médecins and Sentinelle) in week 42.
