Bronchiolitis SurveillanceIn mainland France, the number of SOS Médecins visits, emergency room visits, and hospitalizations of children under 2 years of age for bronchiolitis has been increasing in recent weeks across all French regions. The trend is similar to previous seasons. In the Nord-Pas-de-Calais and Picardy regions, indicators are generally stable or slightly increasing, and remain below regional alert thresholds. No RSV was isolated this week by the virology laboratory at Lille University Hospital.
Surveillance of Influenza-Like IllnessesIn mainland France, influenza activity remains low, despite the occurrence of a few sporadic cases.In the Nord-Pas-de-Calais and Picardy regions, indicators are stable at a low level. The absence of isolated influenza viruses confirms this low activity.
Surveillance of severe influenza cases Surveillance of severe influenza cases will resume in early November (week 45 of 2015).
Surveillance of acute gastroenteritis In mainland France, the incidence of acute diarrhea estimated by the Sentinelles network is low and below the epidemic threshold. In the Nord-Pas-de-Calais and Picardy regions, indicators are rising slightly but remain below regional alert thresholds.
