SOS Médecins calls related to COVID-19 increased compared to the previous two weeks, and activity levels in hospital emergency departments remained stable compared to Week 30. The number of hospitalized cases remains low.
Chikungunya, dengue, Zika
Since the start of enhanced surveillance in the region, 89 cases of arboviral diseases—77 confirmed cases and 12 probable cases—have been identified in Île-de-France, including 88 cases of dengue and 1 case of chikungunya, all of which were imported.
The cases were imported from the Caribbean (46), Asia (16), Latin America (15), and sub-Saharan Africa (12). Among the cases, 81 (91%) were potentially viremic in Île-de-France, and 37 (41.6%) resided in municipalities in the region colonized by the “tiger mosquito” (Aedes albopictus).
High temperatures, heat wave
The Île-de-France region was at green alert level in week 31: iCanicule indicators were decreasing compared to week 30.
