Health Monitoring in Normandy. Bulletin of March 6, 2025.
Key Points
Influenza and Flu-Like Illness
After thirteen weeks of the flu epidemic, Normandy is entering the post-epidemic phase. All indicators, both in the community and in hospitals, are declining and beginning to approach pre-epidemic baseline levels.
The A (H1N1), A (H3N2), and B/Victoria strains are still circulating simultaneously. Their detection rates are declining in community laboratories and hospitals.
The proportion of deaths with influenza listed as a cause among electronically certified deaths is also decreasing but remains at a moderate level compared to previous epidemics.
Acute Gastroenteritis
Community activity indicators for acute gastroenteritis are rising sharply this week, particularly among those under 15 years of age.
Hospital activity is slightly decreasing but remains at a high level.
