Key Points

COVID-19

  • In week 38, the COVID-19 outbreak is still ongoing.

  • Activity related to suspected COVID-19 cases in emergency care—both in private practice (SOS Médecins) and in hospital emergency departments—continues to rise, a trend that began shortly before the start of the school year.

  • The incidence rate of laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 cases has also been rising for several weeks.

Bronchiolitis

  • In week 38, activity in emergency departments and SOS Médecins is increasing at a rate similar to that seen in 2022. As a reminder, in 2022, the epidemic began early.

Asthma

  • In line with the resurgence of acute respiratory infections, and as is typically observed after the start of the school year, activity related to asthma in emergency departments and SOS Médecins is on the rise. Levels are comparable to those observed in previous years.
