Situation in Lower Normandy and Upper Normandy
The InVS national update dated January 15, 2014, showed that during week 2014-02, the number of visits to hospital emergency departments participating in the OSCOUR® network for infant bronchiolitis was declining sharply in all regions of metropolitan France. The number of visits to hospital emergency departments is expected to continue declining in the coming weeks. According to data from the Grog network (week 2014-02), the respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) bronchiolitis outbreak was subsiding, and the incidence of bronchiolitis among children under 2 years of age was clearly decreasing. The number of bronchiolitis cases in children under 2 years of age reported by sentinel physicians (general practitioners or pediatricians) participating in the network was sharply declining throughout mainland France
