Mortality: The number of deaths recorded in S36 is in line with expected levels for this period.
Emergency department visits by vulnerable populations: According to available data, emergency department activity among those aged 75 and older is below expected levels. There has been an increase in emergency department activity among children under 1 year of age.
Chikungunya and dengue: enhanced surveillance in Gironde and Lot-et-Garonne Since May 1, 108 suspected cases have been reported. Among them, 3 imported cases of dengue and 4 imported cases of chikungunya have been confirmed. In total, as of September 11, in the 22 metropolitan departments subject to enhanced surveillance, 82 imported cases of dengue and 22 imported cases of chikungunya have been confirmed. Five locally acquired cases of dengue have been confirmed in Nîmes (Languedoc-Roussillon region).
Notifiable Diseases (ND) No significant changes this week.
Acute gastroenteritis (AGE)In Aquitaine and France, activity is slightly higher, in line with expected levels for this time of year.
Asthma and allergies: Allergy activity is stable in Aquitaine and nationwide. In Aquitaine and across France, asthma activity is rising among children due to the start of the school year and the circulation of rhinoviruses at this time. Activity levels are slightly higher than expected for this time of year. Forecast for this week: very low to low pollen allergy risk for grass pollen in the region.
Respiratory virology and enterovirus meningitisNo reports of enterovirus meningitis this week and 4 cases according to the Oscour® network. 90% of positive respiratory viruses are rhinoviruses.
