• Resurgence in the number of cases in Europe and France since late 2023

• Significant risk of importation and establishment of transmission chains in France

• Limited number of confirmed cases in Nouvelle-Aquitaine in 2024

• Enhanced vigilance with reporting (mandatory reporting) upon clinical suspicion and implementation of appropriate preventive measures (vaccination and isolation measures)
