Chikungunya, Dengue, and Zika in Occitanie. Update as of August 9, 2024.

  • In Occitanie, from May 1 to August 8, 2024, 92 imported cases of dengue and 1 imported case of chikungunya were identified.

  • Four locally acquired cases of dengue were also identified: 1 in Hérault, 1 in Gard, and 2 in Pyrénées-Orientales (with possible transmission in Lozère).

  • To limit the risk of local transmission, 115 entomological surveys and 92 vector control treatments were carried out in the vicinity of the cases.
