Key Points

  • In Occitanie, from May 1 to September 17, 2024, 124 imported cases of dengue and 1 imported case of chikungunya were identified. Three locally acquired cases of dengue were also identified: 1 in Hérault and 2 in Pyrénées-Orientales (with possible transmission in Lozère).

  • To limit the risk of local transmission, 154 entomological surveys and 135 vector control treatments were carried out in the vicinity of the cases.
