Nearly 8,000,000 people tested and 400,000 cases identified
26,000 hospitalizations, including 5,700 in critical care; 4,500 deaths in hospital
2,354 cases reported by sentinel intensive care units; median age of 67; 86% had comorbidities; median length of stay of 10 days
2,781 outbreaks reported in long-term care facilities, including 1,719 in nursing homes (9 out of 10 nursing homes reported an outbreak); 14,539 cases among residents and 8,126 among staff members; 2,374 deaths occurred within these facilities
32,811 emergency room visits and 10,128 SOS Médecins calls for suspected COVID-19
82% of people aged 75 and older had received one dose; 69% had completed the full vaccination series as of June 1, 2021
