Key Points

Acute respiratory infections

  • SOS Médecins: Procedures for the diagnosis of lower respiratory tract infections were on the decline in week 06-2024.

  • Oscour®: visits and hospitalizations following visits for lower respiratory tract infections remained stable

Bronchiolitis

  • The 2023–2024 bronchiolitis epidemic in Occitanie has ended. It lasted from week 2023-44 to week 2024-02, a total of 11 weeks.

Influenza

  • In week 06-2024, the Occitanie region entered its 9th epidemic week.

  • For the first week, all syndromic and virological indicators are declining in community practice and in hospitals.

  • A first epidemic peak may therefore have passed in week 4 in community practice and in week 5 in hospitals. These trends will need to be confirmed over the coming weeks.

COVID-19

  • COVID-19 indicators from various surveillance systems have reached relatively low levels in recent weeks in the region.

Gastroenteritis and Acute Diarrhea

  • SOS Médecins: Gastroenteritis activity was low in week 06-2024.

  • Oscour®: Gastroenteritis activity was moderate in week 06-2024.
