Bronchiolitis

• SOS Médecins: Procedures for the diagnosis of bronchiolitis in children under 2 years of age were on the rise compared to the previous week. In week 47-2023, 53 procedures for the diagnosis of bronchiolitis in children under 2 years of age were recorded, representing 12.3% of the overall activity of SOS Médecins associations in this age group (34 procedures in week 46).

• Oscour® Network: visits and hospitalizations for a diagnosis of bronchiolitis in children under 2 years of age increased compared to the previous week. In week 47, 435 visits for this diagnosis in this age group were recorded, representing 22.0% of visits in this age group (272 visits in week 46). Of these visits, 155 were followed by a hospitalization, representing a hospitalization rate of 35.6% for this diagnosis; these hospitalizations accounted for 42.5% of all hospitalizations in this age group.

COVID-19

• SOS Médecins: The proportion of cases involving suspected or confirmed COVID-19 diagnoses at SOS Médecins clinics in the region remained stable compared to the previous week (171 cases, or 347 cases per 10,000 consultations).

• Oscour® Network: visits for suspected COVID-19 were on the rise compared to the previous week (320 emergency room visits, or 107 per 10,000 consultations, Figure 8). This increase was observed among those aged 15 and older and primarily affected those aged 15–44. Among these visits, 40% were followed by hospitalization.

Gastroenteritis and acute diarrhea

• Sentinelles Network: The incidence rate of acute diarrhea cases seen in general practice for week 47 of 2023 was 123 per 100,000 [76–170], a sharp increase compared to the previous week (56 per 100,000).

• SOS Médecins Network: Gastroenteritis activity, however, remained low in week 47.

• Oscour® Network: Gastroenteritis activity was also low in week 47.
