Key Points

• In Occitanie, since May 1, 2021, 15 imported cases of dengue and 1 case of chikungunya have been confirmed: the dengue cases were returning from Réunion (14), Djibouti (1), and French Guiana (1); the chikungunya case was imported from Senegal. No cases of Zika have been identified.

• To limit the risk of local transmission, 18 entomological surveys and 6 vector control treatments were carried out in the vicinity of these cases.

• Nationwide, from May 1 to July 23, 2021, the following were confirmed:

  • 97 imported cases of dengue, including 78 from Réunion

  • 2 imported cases of chikungunya

  • 0 imported cases of Zika
