In Occitanie, since May 1, 2019, 93 cases have been confirmed
:- 83 imported cases (i.e., travelers returning from areas where the virus is circulating) of dengue, 8 of chikungunya, and 2 of Zika have been confirmed;
- 0 confirmed local cases.
Nationwide, from May 1 to September 6, 2019
:- 401 imported cases (i.e., travelers returning from areas where the virus is circulating) of dengue (20% of which were travelers returning from Réunion Island), 38 cases of chikungunya, and 5 cases of Zika.
A dengue epidemic is currently underway on Reunion Island, with more than 17,900 cases of dengue (biologically confirmed or probable) reported between the beginning of 2019 and August 11, 2019. The number of confirmed cases continues to decline, a trend that began in mid-May.
