In Occitanie, from May 1 to December 3, 2021, 24 imported cases of dengue fever—confirmed or probable—were identified and investigated (compared to 131 in 2020). No cases of chikungunya or Zika were identified.

Of the 24 imported dengue cases, 22 were viremic in Occitanie, prompting interventions by mosquito control operators to limit the risk of local transmission: 31 surveys and 16 vector control treatments were thus carried out in 2021 in Occitanie.
