• Summer SurveillanceIn week 34, the number of emergency department visits for heat-related conditions (hyperthermia, heatstroke, dehydration, or hyponatremia) continued to rise slightly, increasing from 27 to 36 visits across the 11 emergency departments in the sample. However, case numbers remain low and within the expected range for this time of year.

• Vector-borne disease surveillanceOver the past 7 days, 1 imported case of dengue fever was confirmed among the 7 suspected cases reported in Hérault and Gard. To date, a total of 7 cases of dengue fever and 2 cases of chikungunya have been confirmed in these two departments, all of which were imported; no locally acquired cases have been detected.
